DOUG BRIAN NELSEN was born and raised in Westchester County,
a suburb of New York City. He was the lead singer of The Intruders, a band which was the first winner of the Battle of the
Bands contest of Westchester/Rockland Counties.
Doug was also the lead singer of The Casuals, who recorded a nationally released single
written and produced by Billy Vera and Chip Taylor.
Doug has sung at Catch a Rising Star and Dangerfield's in New York City.
In the Reno-Tahoe area, Doug has sung at Adele's at the Plaza, Michael Bros. Steak House,
The Fresh Ketch at South Lake Tahoe, and Bananas Restaurant's Tuesday jazz night.
He lived in Florida for a number of years and
sang in various clubs in Palm Beach County.
